My
Shakespearean Sonnet
I'm writing a Shakespearean Sonnet,
I thought it would be simpler than it
is.
Was hoping I'd be half as good as
Will,
Wanted it to be just as good as his.
But first I could not think of a
topic,
Then struggled getting all the lines
to rhyme.
So this is all I could come up with,
I know it's probably not worth a dime.
Thank gosh I'm only told to write just
one,
Cause this is as simple as it can get.
My brain is fried, but poet skills
have rised.
Cause this is hard but after this I'm
set.
So now I’ve tackled all three
quatrains,
And now the Sonnet has come to and
end.
